Personal Taste + Lifestyle = Personal Style ⚓ Every strong Personal Sense of style is born from a particular Lifestyle, then mixed in with our Personal Taste, and voila - your Personal Style has emerged. That is why our Personal Style changes through out our lifetime as we adopt new Lifestyles. That also means that some styles are here to stay and some are passing through. Think of a stay at home Mom of three vs a single architect, and then think of an architect who is expecting and then becomes a new Mom...All of those Personal styles with be different, some will change as you will pass through them and some will stay throught it all. Nautical Style is especially Lifestyle driven. You don't just wake up one day and say “I'm gonna buy some Sperry Top-Sider shoes, striped clothes and a Nautica coat! I'm changing my style to Nautical!” Somewhere along the way you either have moved closer to the water, started working in the marine industry, or simply grow up in the family with a boat or with a house on the beach (yes, you can be lucky enough to be born into a Nautical Lifestyle) and that has shaped your Personal Style. I can count at least 4 distinct Personal Styles I have had over the course of my lifetime. It is a slow and organic process, but you Personal Taste will fight the Lifestyle for a bit along the way...it will try to remind you that you used to like different things, the little voice inside will be saying “are you seriously thinking to buy this striped top? Since when do you like boat shoes, what happened to stilettos you used to wear religiously?” Let it talk...follow your heart... let the Lifestyle guide you...Embrace and Represent the Lifestyle you are currently living. Your new Personal Style is emerging. ⚓ V
