The REAL SIZE of Our ADAMAS Yacht

3/21/2026

In this episode, we’re doing something a little different - we grabbed a measuring tape and teamed up with our new friend Carla Guilhem, an award-winning yacht interior designer, to give you the real scoop on just how big and voluminous our ADAMAS really is.
And let me tell you… the results totally blew our minds.
Walking through the yacht with Carla, you really get a sense of the incredible beam and interior volume Bering is known for. It’s one thing to read numbers on a spec sheet — it’s another to stand inside and actually measure the spaces that will soon become staterooms, lounges, and living areas.
This walkthrough is a true testament to the design philosophy behind Bering Yachts: maximum comfort, generous living space, and the kind of volume that makes you forget you’re even on a 75-footer.
🎥 Watch the full video now to see Carla’s take, our behind-the-scenes measuring session, and why the B75’s volume is something that has to be seen to be believed!

It’s the kind of behind-the-scenes process that really shows just how much thought and engineering goes into designing a helm that’s not only functional, but comfortable and reliable for long passages.
This one’s definitely a little geeky (in the best way possible!) — perfect for anyone who loves the technical side of yacht building. From ergonomics to equipment placement, Rico breaks it all down and shares the reasoning behind every choice.

Monaco Yacht Show 2025: The Biggest Monaco We've Ever Experienced

10/12/2025

Every year we tell ourselves we're prepared for Monaco. Every year Monaco reminds us that we're not!
We've been fortunate enough to attend the Monaco Yacht Show many times, but this year's event felt different from the moment we arrived. It wasn't just bigger—it was the biggest Monaco Yacht Show we've ever experienced. The docks felt busier, the lineup of yachts seemed even more impressive, and everywhere we turned there was another world premiere, another fascinating conversation, or another reason to stop and stare.

There's something about walking into Port Hercule during Monaco Yacht Show week that's hard to describe unless you've experienced it yourself. Some of the most extraordinary yachts in the world are lined up side by side, helicopters buzz overhead, tenders weave through the harbor, and every dock is filled with designers, builders, captains, engineers, brokers, owners, and enthusiasts who all share one thing in common: a passion for yachting.
It's more than a boat show...

The Moment You’ve Been Waiting For… Our Boat Finally Has a Name!

9/28/2025

After months — honestly, almost years — of debating, brainstorming, and second-guessing ourselves, the day has finally come. We’ve picked the name of our boat!
And the best part? It revealed itself in the most unexpected, almost mysterious way. It felt like the name was just waiting for us all along, and when it finally clicked, we knew without a doubt this was it.
This has been such a long journey, and we’re beyond excited to finally share the name with the rest of the world. It’s a huge milestone in bringing our Bering 82 to life, and it makes everything feel that much more real.
🎥 Watch the full video to see how the name came to us, why it feels so perfect, and join us in celebrating this special moment.

Explorer Yacht vs. Performance Cat for World Cruising

9/27/2025

This one was such a fun project! We sat down with Nikki and Jason from the Gone With The Wynns YouTube channel for a special two-part video series.
On one side, we’re in the middle of building our ADAMAS explorer yacht. On the other, they’re deep into their own adventure, building an 44 sailing catamaran. Two totally different builds, in two totally different worlds, for very different uses — and that’s exactly what made the conversation so fascinating.
We talked about the realities of yacht building, the choices that come with different platforms, and how lifestyle, goals, and design all come together in very unique ways. It was eye-opening for us, and we think you’ll find the discussion just as interesting.
🎥 Check out this two-part collab and join us, Nikki, and Jason as we dive into what it really means to build the right boat for your dream adventures.

Cannes Yachting Festival 2025 Highlights: Why We Keep Coming Back

9/20/2025

If you've ever wondered what it's like to cover the Cannes Yachting Festival... imagine trying to squeeze an entire year's worth of boats into one week. And CYF 2025 came in hot—literally. Between the Riviera sunshine, back-to-back yacht tours, and speed-walking from one appointment to the next, we definitely earned our croissants every morning. Every year we show up with a perfectly organized schedule. Every year that schedule falls apart by about 11 a.m.
Someone tells us, "You have to see this new launch," we make a quick detour, then another, Rico disappears into an engine room because "he'll only be five minutes" (it's never five minutes), and before we know it, we're halfway across Vieux Port wondering how we managed to walk eight miles before lunch.
And honestly...

Let’s Talk About Corrosion...

5/17/2025

Alright friends, this is a big one. We just dropped a new video called “Let’s Talk About Corrosion” - and if you’ve ever wondered about steel yachts and rust, you’re going to want to watch this.
Corrosion is probably one of the first questions people ask when it comes to steel hulls. In this episode, we go deep into what it actually is, how it’s prevented, and what kind of technology is out there to keep steel yachts strong for the long run.

It’s pretty cool to see the systems and coatings they use to make sure these explorer yachts are built to last.
It’s a geeky one, but in the best way — and by the end, you’ll see why the whole “rust bucket” stereotype is way off.
🎥 Go check out “Let’s Talk About Corrosion” and see how steel yachts are actually protected for a lifetime of adventure.

Building a Steel Explorer Yacht in 13 minutes

5/17/2025

Happy New Year!
One Year in 13 Minutes: Watch Our Bering 75 Come to Life 🎥✨This is one I’m especially excited to share with you. We just put together a 13-minute time-lapse of our Explorer Yacht ADAMAS being built - an entire year of construction condensed into one incredible video.
It took a lot of hours (and plenty of patience) to put this together, but I have to say I’m really proud of how it turned out. Watching all the stages fly by - from the first steel plates to a full-fledged explorer yacht - is honestly pretty amazing. It’s crazy to look back and realize how far we’ve come in just one year.
If you’ve ever wondered what it really looks like to build a yacht from the ground up, this video is the closest thing to being there day after day.
🎥 Go check it out now - 13 minutes, one year, and one incredible Explorer coming to life before your eyes.

Big Day for Our Explorer 82 "ADAMAS": Heart Surgery!

8/3/2024

This was one of those milestones we’ll never forget — and we’re so glad we actually got to be there for it! In this brand-new two-part video, you’ll see the moment our ADAMAS finally received her engines and generators.
It was a huge day at the yard, and the energy was high. Rico was beyond excited (and a little nervous too!) watching this part of the build come together. After all, these are the heart of the yacht — the very pieces that will power her across oceans. Seeing them lowered into place was both thrilling and nerve-wracking, and it made everything feel that much more real.
Considering we were not there for the official hull turning day, being present for this milestone meant so much to us. It was one of those moments where you stop and think: wow, this is actually happening.
🎥 Don’t miss this special two-part video update — engines, generators, excitement, nerves, and all. ADAMAS just took a huge step forward, and we can’t wait for you to see it.
