Since the era of The New Media birthed us Billionaires in their mid-twenties and multi-millionaires in their teens, the glamorous world of Yachting is officially no longer just for the middle-aged “I have worked hard my whole life and now I just want to enjoy my yacht” types. Yes! The “Young Money” has spoken and they do not want to “just chill”... they want to live vibrantly, push the limits and explore the world without boundaries. So what does that all mean for the world of Super and Mega Yachting? Well, I have some answers for you... While attending Fort Lauderdale Boat Show, I was fortunate to be invited to an awesome panel called Superyachting 2.0 = Adventure + Experience organized by Shamin Abas PR which took place aboard the insane Toy-Hauler (Super Yacht Support Vessel) called New Frontiers (Google it:-). The panel consisted of Mark Vermeulen (Product Director at SeaXplorer and Yacht Support, DAMEN Shipyards Group); Patrick Lahey (President of Triton Submarines) and Rob McCallum (Co-Founder of EYOS Expeditions). Just as I have been saying for the last few years, the world of Yachting is changing... as younger and younger entrepreneurs enter the Big Money arena, they are dictating the expectations they have from the future Yachts: it has to be unique, powerful and has to be able to take them places no one or almost no one has ever been, while they can still work and share their adventures with the rest of the world via Social Media. The biggest shift has been that the new age Millionaires are no longer working and “stopping to smell the roses”, they strive to work and live inside of “the rose garden”...making the explorations of the Oceans Beyond the usual destinations part of their life journey and in some cases, ways-of-making more money by sharing their experiences. Even though the Super Yacht World is slow to adopt to change, there are a few Innovative companies, such as DAMEN Shipyards Group, which see the demand and the potential to make some groundbreaking history. So, what is SeaXplorer? It's the ultimate crossover Superyacht. It's the world's first purpose built, Polar code compliant expedition Yacht with full capability for remote destinations – from extreme Polar to remote Tropical areas. Pretty cool stuff, right?! Well, how did this all start? Apparently, EYOS Expeditions (check out their IG page to be wowed) has been working in partnership with DAMEN to create this Ultimate Go-anywhere-you-want Yacht. EYOS in it's own is a unique concept of a company. Whether you own or want to charter an extraordinary vessel, they deliver once-in-a-lifetime experiences in luxury and safety. They work with owners and captains, build itineraries, acquire permits, arrange aviation services and gather a world-class expedition team. In a nutshell, if I'm Evan Spiegl and want to take my Yacht to North Pole. I would hire EYOS Expeditions, and they will plan the whole trip for me as will as have an experienced team to come onboard with me for the trip to make sure it will go smoothly. Pretty amazing, right?! So, DAMEN has been getting “build-me-a-go-anywhere-yacht” requests and since they have already been in the business of building Super Yacht Support Vessels and EYOS has been executing insane-off-the-bitten-path expeditions... so naturally, they have realized there is a Need for an Ultimate Expedition Super Yacht, which would combine the best of both worlds: Worlds toughest Super Yacht + Comfort and Luxury. They have explained that this is the first Yacht concept to be designed with Exploration Needs as a priority, making sure it checks off all of the Must-have-safely-and-durability boxes and then building the personal preferences around it. This concept is as unique and as innovative as the clientele. But no SeaXplorer is complete without a personal Submarine! Triton Submarines have
been on my radar for quite some time now. Have you even seen the only video ever recorder of the Giant Squid?! Yes, that was shot from one of the Tritons Subs. These lightweight submarines range from 1 to 7 passengers and some of them can be used to visit the deepest parts of the Ocean (36000 ft!!!). Triton's extensive use of the Transparent acrylic in the Hull makes you feel like you are just floating in the deep blue sea, but without the need of special dive training or worries of pressure changes. So you no longer have to be a world renowned scientist to join the “I have seen it with my own eyes” Club... if Funds allow, you could go to the most daring and mind-blowing places on Earth while in comfort of your own Luxury Yacht – and that, my friends, is the Future of Super Yachting!

A yatch with a submarine is what I call a super yacht..it's just sad that only those making 6 figures monthly can afford this type of yatch..I wish I could be among that class soon

I love to try yachting. I am not much of a swimmer but I do love activities in the water, especially on open sea. It would be very cool to ride a yacht this luxurious.
