If Saint-Petersburg, Russia is not already on your short list of places to visit, it definitely needs to be. As many of you may know, it's my home town where I was born and raised. But this city have changed so much, since I moved to Los Angeles 18 years ago!
It has always been the cultural center of Russia, but Moscow was often ahead when it came to modernization and hipster lifestyle. I must say, in the last few years Saint-Petersburg has really flourished as an European foodie destination and a total hipster city. Seeing the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show for the first time is simply overwhelming! I thought I knew what to expect...but FLIBS blew it out of the park. Huge doesn't describe it... it's maaasive! It's like the Hermitage of the Yachting world... it will take a month to see the whole thing properly! Take it from someone with extensive event planning experience, this production is no joke: the build out, the yacht delivery logistics and the amount of staff making this possible... I take my hat off to the organizers... absolutely nothing like I have ever seen in the world of Yacht Shows.
