Yes! The “Young Money” has spoken and they do not want to “just chill”... they want to live vibrantly, push the limits and explore the world without boundaries.
So what does that all mean for the world of Super and Mega Yachting? Well, I have some answers for you...
How did we end up in the Open Ocean of the Coast of Newport Beach, CA doing 45 Kts on the James Bond-like slick & shiny Vendetta, and almost blowing my eardrums off?! Well, it all started with a phone call... Producer Michael called and said he wants Rico & I help him get his "boating mojo" back and find his next Yacht!!! Since he is not your average kind of a guy, we were quite intrigued by the challenge and had to think outside the box.
The West Coast is full of eclectic & vibrant personalities without many financial limitations, but when it comes to yachting we are definitely living in the shadows of Florida, especially Miami. So we put on our thinking hats and come up with a few west coast based yacht options to show Michael (all very different from each other) in hopes to inspire him to get back into boating again. Vendetta was the first yacht that came to my mind! As we did our full walkthrough a few months back WATCH HERE, I have been obsessed with an idea of taking her out for a spin! Seeing the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show for the first time is simply overwhelming! I thought I knew what to expect...but FLIBS blew it out of the park. Huge doesn't describe it... it's maaasive! It's like the Hermitage of the Yachting world... it will take a month to see the whole thing properly! Take it from someone with extensive event planning experience, this production is no joke: the build out, the yacht delivery logistics and the amount of staff making this possible... I take my hat off to the organizers... absolutely nothing like I have ever seen in the world of Yacht Shows. I have not met a girl yet that doesn't have a shoe addiction. I love shoes! Heels, flats, wedges...all of it! But the Nautical Lifestyle has definitely had a major impact on my shoe taste. I now have many pairs of cute flats and boat shoes in every nautical shape and style: stripes, anchors...you name it! These Blue-Anchor-Beauties just recently stole "the Shoe corner" of my heart.

Day 1: What a relief...I'm not the only girl in my class! Our instructor Robert is super nice, funny and definitely has his Sh*t together. I'm sharing the overall excitement of my classmates...This is gonna be fun!
Day 2:
We started on the Rules of the Road today. After my husband's stories I was prepared for the worst, but it's really not that bad. Piece of cake! Also, I think the Chart plotting might really be my thing. Accessories...no outfit is complete without it. Anchor bracelets, belts, nautical stacks & watches...these amazing brands are taking Nautical into Stylish & Fashionable!

When it comes to cause and treatment of seasickness there are just as many personal opinions, as there are people on this planet. It's the elephant onboard no one wants to talk about, because “it's contagions” and “not fun”. There are 2 types of boaters: the ones that get seasick and the ones they don't. If you fall into the unlucky category, you have heard it all: “you will get used to it”, “don't drink”, “don't eat”, “look at the horizon”, “snap out of it”, “just don't think about it”...but you still get sick?
I did not want to do another post about a bunch of natural remedies and ideas that might help. I believe understanding the problem is the first step to managing it. So what is seasickness?
