I know you have been patiently (and some of you impatiently 😝🙈) waiting to find out what our next Move is. We are spilling the beans and shining some light on what our Boating Future looks like ahead. 😜 I bet you every time you see a StarFish you think: "ow how cute!", but little did a lot of us know these interesting creatures are far from cute, well unless you think an alien is;) Check this out: 1. They can regenerate arms: Sea stars house most of their vital organs in their arms. This means that some species can even regenerate an entirely new sea star from just one arm and a portion of the star's central disc. It takes about a year for an arm to grow back. 👽
2. They are not Fish and are related to sand dollars, sea urchins, sea cucumbers, and sea lilies.
3. They can only live in Salt Water. 🌊 Since the era of The New Media birthed us Billionaires in their mid-twenties and multi-millionaires in their teens, the glamorous world of Yachting is officially no longer just for the middle-aged “I have worked hard my whole life and now I just want to enjoy my yacht” types. Yes! The “Young Money” has spoken and they do not want to “just chill”... they want to live vibrantly, push the limits and explore the world without boundaries.
So what does that all mean for the world of Super and Mega Yachting? Well, I have some answers for you...
How did we end up in the Open Ocean of the Coast of Newport Beach, CA doing 45 Kts on the James Bond-like slick & shiny Vendetta, and almost blowing my eardrums off?! Well, it all started with a phone call... Producer Michael called and said he wants Rico & I help him get his "boating mojo" back and find his next Yacht!!! Since he is not your average kind of a guy, we were quite intrigued by the challenge and had to think outside the box.
The West Coast is full of eclectic & vibrant personalities without many financial limitations, but when it comes to yachting we are definitely living in the shadows of Florida, especially Miami. So we put on our thinking hats and come up with a few west coast based yacht options to show Michael (all very different from each other) in hopes to inspire him to get back into boating again. Vendetta was the first yacht that came to my mind! As we did our full walkthrough a few months back WATCH HERE, I have been obsessed with an idea of taking her out for a spin! On our recent trip to Russia, we have decided to try something different - instead of taking a flight from Moscow to Saint-Petersburg, we opted-in to try another way of Land Travel: the overnight train. ZEN... that’s how I would describe The Ritz Carlton on Maui. As soon as you turn into Kapalua you are transformed into completely different Hawaii I had no idea even existed: a Pine Tree forest rolling into the Ocean.
